I'm running on a platform of Economic Mobility, Community Resilience, and Inclusivity for All. But what does any of that mean? Below is my vision, but it is one that is built on community input. Something missing? Reach out and share your thoughts! These items are not exhaustive but serve as a starting point for a collective vision for our future.

Economic Mobility

In Alexandria, "affordability" is more than just a talking point; it’s a reality for families living just one paycheck away from crisis. To build true economic mobility, we must lower the cost of living by rethinking the "plumbing" of our city. This means building more housing while ensuring it is powered by green technology to lower utility bills and co-located with essential infrastructure like childcare and transit. When we connect housing to reliable transit and affordable care, we don't just move people—we empower a workforce and put thousands of dollars back into the pockets of our neighbors. By partnering with area universities and small businesses to create "Micro-Incubators" at catalyst sites, we will foster a home-grown economy where the next generation of business thrives. My plan, ALX Forward, ensures that more housing, better transit, and smarter infrastructure work together to create a steady ground where every Alexandrian has a fair shot to stay and succeed.

Community Resilience

National politics often feels like a storm of uncertainty, but local government must be the steady ground that keeps our families safe. To me, community resilience is about more than just infrastructure; it is about ensuring that every neighbor—especially our immigrant community—feels secure and valued. As your Councilman, I will ensure Alexandria remains a true "Safe Harbor" where local resources are used to build trust and safety, not to facilitate ICE actions that tear families apart. Drawing on my experience in the U.S. Navy Reserve and as a pharmacist, I will prioritize operational readiness for public health and climate challenges while serving as a positive force for inclusivity. True resilience is built when every resident knows that City Hall has their back, providing the stability and hope needed to weather any storm together.

Opportunity for All

A city only moves forward when everyone is invited to the table. Inclusivity to me means active engagement and ensuring that City Hall is accessible to every neighbor—regardless of their background, what language they speak, whether they own or rent (or don't have a home), or how long they’ve called Alexandria home. My time as President of the Del Ray Citizens Association and Chair of the EOC taught me that the best solutions come from the ground up. I am committed to a "people-first" approach to governance, where transparency is the standard and every community member—from the long-time homeowner to the newest arrival—has a meaningful seat at the table to help shape our shared future.
